Aftercare makes all the difference:
I suggest different aftercare procedures based on the tattoo you’ve received. Different care options are below.
Tattoo Aftercare
-
1. Remove the bandage
Gently remove the bandage at the time discussed during your appointment.
If the bandage feels stuck to the tattoo, do not pull — step into a warm shower and allow running water to release it naturally.
2. Wash
In a warm shower, cleanse the tattoo using the provided soap.
Use clean hands only — no washcloths, loofahs, or sponges — and gently wash until the area feels clean.
3. Rinse
Rinse thoroughly to remove all soap residue.
4. Dry
Pat the tattoo dry using a clean towel or disposable paper towel.
Dab — do not wipe. Wiping can irritate or damage healing skin.
5. Moisturize
Apply the provided moisturizer (Reborn Tattoo Aftercare) in a layer similar to the consistency of chapstick.
Massage gently until the skin is no longer shiny. The tattoo should feel comfortable, not slick.
6. Repeat
Repeat steps 2–5 as needed, depending on your activity level, climate, and environmental exposure.
Over-washing or over-moisturizing can be just as disruptive as neglect — balance is key.

Surface healing typically takes approximately 2.5–4 weeks.
During this time, some flaking, dryness, and mild sensitivity are normal.
Once surface healing is complete, you may begin regular use of:
A high-quality moisturizer
Broad-spectrum sunscreen
Consistent hydration and sun protection are essential for preserving contrast, saturation, and long-term clarity.
-
To ensure the cleanest possible heal, please avoid:
Pet dander (sleeping with animals, direct contact with fur)
Standing or untreated water (baths, pools, hot tubs, lakes, oceans)
Prolonged submersion of any kind
Excess sun exposure
Environmental contaminants, including:
Dirt or dust
Gym equipment contacting the tattoo
Tight or abrasive clothing over the area

Healing looks different for every body.
